Bought for 2 1/2 yr old great-grandson. His mother understood and agreed to time commitment involved before purchase. They LOVED it! This elf was named “Scooter” (as a reminder to Santa that a scooter was #1 on the wish list) and Scooter ended up on/in some very unusual places. But 2 yr old woke up every single morning immediately looking for Scooter to make sure the elf made it back from North Pole okay. He was heard having conversations with Scooter several times…….precious memories. My granddaughter took pictures of all the places Scooter sat and is scrapbooking the experience. By the way, the family traveled before Christmas, and Scooter still found them wherever they went. I would highly recommend this for parents who are willing to commit time and effort involved – definitely get informed approval before purchasing.

We had so much fun with “Tinyfoot” our Elf. I got really creative with his mischeivous ways. My kids are 6 and 8, and this will be a tradition we will have for many years to come. My only complaint is that I wished his arms and legs were bendable with something like wire inside. It would be easier for him and Barbie to “hookup” wink..wink

I bought this as a gift for my nephew and brother. My nephew is only 8 months old so at this point it’s more of a gift for my brother (30 years old) who loves Christmas and is a huge fan of holiday traditions. About 2 years ago an ex girlfriend’s nieces had one of these and I saw how they loved it. I thought it was a fantastic idea for young kids. I didn’t take this one out of the packaging but the one I had previously seen was fairly well constructed. It comes with 2 books. A storybook and an activity book. In the storybook the elf tells his story of how he reports to Santa and the rules the kids must follow to make sure he’s able to do his job. One of the rules is they mustn’t touch the elf or else his magic will go away and he won’t be able to report to Santa, so as long as the kids follow the rules durability shouldn’t be an issue.

There was quite a lot included for less than 40 bucks. In addition to the elf, you get a storybook, an activity book and a CD. Kids will love it and it’s a really cool tradition to share with your children.
